Lifeline Emergency Response Systems

An elderly person living alone at home can activate an emergency response system when a crisis happens and he/she is not able to get to a telephone (such as after a fall).  He/she activates the system by pressing a button that is worn around the neck on a cord, or on a bracelet.  The alarm is received at the hospital, who then calls the person on the telephone.  If there is no response to the phone call, the hospital personnel call the elderly person's on file emergency responders.  Responders may be neighbors, children or acquaintances who live in the elderly person's neighborhood.
All providers charge an assessment or activation fee, and a monthly service fee.   Call for prices, the fees may vary.
